Box is a packaging refresh project centered on redesigning an Amsterdam ink bottle to create a more modern and cohesive visual identity. The goal was to elevate the existing product through thoughtful typography, refined color choices, and a cleaner structural layout. I reimagined the box design to better highlight the ink’s quality and brand heritage while improving shelf presence and readability. The project combined brand analysis, packaging design, and layout development to produce a final piece that feels contemporary, intentional, and visually balanced.

One of the main challenges in this project was that Amsterdam All Acrylics doesn’t design packaging for a single ink bottle, but rather for a set of six. Creating a box meant for just one bottle pushed me to rethink the structure, proportions, and overall presentation. While it was challenging to adapt a system that wasn’t originally intended for individual units, it ultimately gave me more freedom to highlight and express the personality of a single color in a more focused and intentional way.
